The Scottish Institute of NLP - Questions and Answers
How Will Learning NLP Benefit Me?
Neuro Linguistic Programming is the operating manual for your brain.
NLP is so useful, we, at the Institute believe it ought to be taught in schools. It puts people in the driving seat of their own heads and therefore allows them to lead the life they want. NLP puts you in control of your own emotions, your own thoughts and therefore your outcomes in life.
Learning NLP is a life-enhancing experience that stays with you throughout your life.
The Scottish Institute of NLP is all about making sure you get the best quality of learning, the best outcomes and the best results from learning NLP. Here's a snapshot of how learning NLP with The Scottish Institute of NLP will work for you.
NLP at Work
It doesn't matter what line of work you're in, you always need to be able to communicate effectively, deal with problems, manage pressure effectively and adapt happily to change. NLP teaches you how to do all of that and so much more.
Here's an example:
Your sales team aren't performing and you think it might have something to do with the way you recruit them and the way you train them.
Knowing how to ask questions to find out what a person's values are is easy when you've learned NLP. Imagine being able to find out if your new recruits share your company's core values with just a few questions.
It's vital in a sales role that your recruits are highly self motivated. With traditional interview questions its virtually impossible to get an accurate picture of people's motivation. Once you begin to use NLP style questions, you'll know very quickly whether someone is proactive or reactive or whether they're primarily driven by learning new things or job titles or money or anything else for that matter.
Once you've begun to learn NLP, you'll understand how different people prefer to process information and learn. You'll then be able to adapt all your training materials to suit everyone's learning style.
Being able to cut short those long, drawn out recruitment processes with complex and expensive assessments is the dream of most organisations. Learning the tools of NLP will provide you with the expertise to be able to do that and so much more.
NLP and Your Personal Life
When you attend a 7-Day NLP Practitioner Course, you'll turn around (in the vast majority of people) your negative beliefs, behaviours and emotions from your past. During the course, you learn the various tools and techniques useful for everyday life as well as improving your working life.
These range from relaxation to belief change to phobia cures to timeline to hypnosis (yes, we teach you self-hypnosis, which puts you into a relaxed state) so that you're fully equipped to deal with life's ups and downs because we know they'll happen.
Whatever you think you'd like to change about how you think, we'll cover it on our 7-Day NLP Licensed Practitioner Course in Edinburgh, Scotland.
NLP and Being a Parent
I don't know about you, but I like being a parent and being a good parent is important to me. My eldest daughter told me that after I learned NLP I was a much better mum.
When you understand one of the presuppositions of NLP is that everyone is doing the best they can with the resources they have available to them, then you understand yourself and your children in a much better way.
When you're equipped with tools and techniques to get them to sleep better, eat better, play and learn better, then you know learning NLP has been incredibly useful to you.
There are hundreds of ways NLP improves people's lives, these are just a few real life examples from my own life and those people like you who've already participated on our courses.
